Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using EduBoost Nepal.

Welcome to EduBoost Nepal. By accessing or using our platform at eduboostnepal.nabint.com.np, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, students, teachers, and administrators using the platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing any part of our website, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EduBoost Nepal.

If you are under 18 years of age, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You are eligible to use EduBoost Nepal if:

  • You are a student enrolled in NEB (National Examinations Board) Class 11 or Class 12 in Nepal, or a teacher, tutor, or educational professional working within the NEB curriculum.
  • You are at least 13 years of age. Users under 18 must have parental consent.
  • You have not been previously suspended or removed from the platform.
  • You are not prohibited by any applicable law in Nepal or your jurisdiction from using educational technology services.

3. User Accounts

Account Registration

To access the full features of EduBoost Nepal, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the service and for any activities or actions under your password. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password. EduBoost Nepal will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login credentials.

Account Types

We offer two account types: Student and Teacher/Admin. Teacher accounts are granted additional privileges including the ability to add notes, blog posts, and manage platform content. Misrepresenting your role during registration is a violation of these Terms.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use EduBoost Nepal only for lawful educational purposes. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Academic dishonesty: Using AI-generated content to cheat in exams, submit plagiarized work, or misrepresent AI content as your own original work in academic settings where this is prohibited.
  • Harmful content: Uploading, posting, or transmitting any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Unauthorized access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, servers, or networks connected to the service.
  • Spam and misuse: Sending unsolicited messages, excessively generating AI content for purposes unrelated to NEB study, or using automated bots.
  • Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code of any part of the platform.
  • Data scraping: Collecting or harvesting any personally identifiable information from the platform without consent.
  • Impersonation: Impersonating any person or entity, including EduBoost Nepal staff, teachers, or other users.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, at our sole discretion.

5. User Content

Your Responsibility

You retain ownership of any content you post, upload, or submit through the platform ("User Content"), including notes, comments, or blog posts (for Teacher accounts). By submitting User Content, you grant EduBoost Nepal a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the platform.

Content Standards

All User Content must comply with NEB curriculum standards and our community guidelines. Content must not contain misinformation, offensive material, copyright-infringing material, or content unrelated to education. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our discretion.

Copyright

You confirm that you have all necessary rights to any content you upload, or that the content is in the public domain. Do not upload content copied directly from NEB textbooks, question papers, or copyrighted educational materials without proper authorization.

6. AI-Generated Content

Nature of AI Content

EduBoost Nepal uses Google Gemini AI to generate questions, answers, and study content. AI-generated content is provided for educational assistance only and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Always verify AI-generated content against official NEB textbooks and materials.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

We do not guarantee that AI-generated questions will appear in your actual NEB exams, nor that AI-generated answers will match official NEB marking schemes exactly. AI content should supplement, not replace, proper study from NEB-approved curriculum materials.

Responsible Use

You agree to use AI-generated content ethically. You may use generated content for personal study, classroom teaching, and educational discussion. You may not redistribute AI-generated content commercially or claim it as entirely your own original creation without disclosure.

7. Intellectual Property

The EduBoost Nepal platform, including its design, code, features, logos, graphics, and curated educational content created by our team, are owned by EduBoost Nepal and protected by applicable intellectual property laws in Nepal.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for personal educational purposes. This license does not include the right to copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without written permission.

The NEB curriculum, official question papers, and NEB-branded materials are the property of the National Examinations Board of Nepal. We are an independent educational technology platform and are not affiliated with or endorsed by NEB.

8. Privacy

Your use of EduBoost Nepal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.

9. Disclaimers

EduBoost Nepal is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected promptly.
  • AI-generated content is 100% accurate, complete, or aligned with the current NEB syllabus.
  • Results achieved using our platform will meet your expectations or exam score targets.

We are an independent educational support platform. We are not responsible for exam outcomes, marks, or results. Success in NEB exams depends on many factors beyond the scope of any single platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Nepal, EduBoost Nepal and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the platform.
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated educational content.
  • Unauthorized access to your account.
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the platform by third parties.
  • Any loss of data or study content.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to liability, or NPR 500, whichever is less.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to EduBoost Nepal at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or to us, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing support@nabint.com.np.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (such as a prominent notice on the platform or by email) at least 14 days before any new terms take effect.

Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the platform.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of EduBoost Nepal shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
